At the conclusion of each term, the program reinforces the most frequently tested concepts taught in the given term and shows students how to apply what they are learning, as they are learning. Additionally, students can take advantage of personal, supplemental instruction from individual tutors, increasing their opportunity to be as prepared as possible for the next phase.


Syllabus is as per University broadly based on TEC Guidelines, framed suitable to train the candidate to be competent for any qualifying tests of developed countries viz. INDIA, USA, UK, SOUTH AFRICA, etc.

The course is of 5 years duration, in phased manner (I, II & III) divided into 10 Semesters of 6 Months each.


Age


The candidate must be at least 17 years of age on or before the 31st December of the academic year in which the candidate is seeking admission.

Subjects & Grade

Students must produce an original certificate, or a certified true copy of an original certificate, stating that he/she has passed at one sitting, any 3 subjects at Advanced (‘A’) level (or its equivalent), preferably in science, with a minimum of 21 points, based on the scale of the Medical Council of Mauritius, as shown below:

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS


The higher secondary examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination, which is equivalent to 10+2 Higher Secondary Examination after a period of 12 years study, the last 2 years of study comprising of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics or any other elective subjects with English at a level not less than core course of English as prescribed by the National Council of Educational Research and Training after the introduction of the 10+2+3 years educational structure as recommended by the National Committee on education; Note: Where the course content is not as prescribed for 10+2 education structure of the National Committee, the candidates will have to undergo a period of one year pre- professional training before admission to the Medical colleges The intermediate examination in Science of an Indian University/Board or other recognised examining body with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, which shall include a practical test in these subjects and also English as a compulsory subject The pre-professional/pre-medical examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, after clearing either the higher secondary school examination, or the pre-university or an equivalent examination. The pre-professional / pre-medical examination shall include a practical test in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology and also English as a compulsory subject The first year of the 3-year degree course of a recognized university, with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology including a practical test in three subjects, provided the examination is a "University Examination" and the candidate has cleared 10+2 with English at a level not less than a core course B.Sc. examination of an Indian University, provided that he/she has passed the B.Sc. examination with not less than two of the following subjects - Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany, Zoology) and further that he/she has passed the earlier qualifying examination with the following subjects – Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English. Any other examination, which is equivalent to the intermediate science examination of an Indian University/Board, taking Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, including practical test in each of these subjects and English


Foreign Students


Foreign students must ensure that they meet any regulatory requirements of the relevant authorities in the country they intend to practice medicine concerning their eligibility to join / follow an undergraduate medical course in a foreign country practice medicine in their home country

English Language Requirements

All applicants must have a credit in English at “O- level” and must have passed General Paper at “AS-Level” or posses equivalent qualifications acceptable to the University for admission. International students not fulfilling the above criteria must have either the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) with a minimum test score of seven (7) for admission or the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) with a minimum test score of 550 for the paper-based test or a minimum test score of 79 for the internet-based test for admission.

In 2021, NEET cutoff passing marks for general category is 720-138, while for SC/ST/OBC it is 137-108.

• Required digital photograph above shoulder in white background. It should show a close up of your face and the top of your shoulders so that your face takes up between 70% - 80% of the face. ( Kindly share clear scan copy over email ID provide by your counsellor) • Required 6 passport size photographs should be 35mm x 45mm in Width and Height over matt paper with white background.

• In English only • Required only if student is minor less than 18 years. ➢ Bank Statement of Father or Mother (PLEASE NOTE: Passbook copy is not acceptable) • 6 months original bank statement with Bank Stamp on it. • Minimum closing balance not less than Rs. 2.5 Lakhs. • In case account is opened less than 6 months then letter from bank manager stating when the account was opened.

The hostels of AMC are exceptionally comfortable with fully furnished rooms and amenities like mess, 24-hour security and maintenance. Students are provided Continental and Indian food at the hostel canteen. It is mandatory that all students reside in one of the AMC hostels for their first two semesters unless given exceptional permission at the institution’s sole discretion. Hostel availability is on a first deposit – first served basis; hence, students should apply promptly when the application process commences. The Hostels are located in close proximity to the AMC campus. For all hostel students, transport will be organised to the college. All rooms are on triple sharing basis.
