Delta Medical College was established almost a decade back and Professor Dr. Syed Mukarram Ali, internationally renowned histopathologist is the founder of the university.
The College offers 5-year both MBBS and BDS degrees. The curriculum is at par to what the the requirements has been set by Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BM&DC), which is the registering body for doctors in Bangladesh. The Governing Body of the college is comprised of representatives from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Dhaka University and Trustee Board. Teaching staff are the mentors to supervise and guide the students throughout the process. Academic schedule is strictly followed based on academic calendar and there are also different extra-curricular activities. Delta provides a unique character of friendliness with non-partisan and highly academic environment. The college campus is located in Mirpur-1 in Dhaka. The college is housed in its own 10 storied building and the hospital is within the same premises. DLMC has a 350-bedded multi-disciplinary hospital complex. The complex is just 19 Kms from the Dhaka International Airport. The medium of teaching is in English. There are four hostels available for both local and International students. Two hostels are for local and two for foreign students. The hostels are supervised by the Delta college authorities.
Must have completed 10+2, or equivalent qualifications, with a minimum of 50% of marks in each subject of Physics, Chemistry, Biology(PCB) (Which in general 50% is equal to ‘C’ grades for Sri Lankan A-Level and ‘D’ grades for International A Levels like EDEXCEL/London) and also 50% in aggregate
Completed Bachelor of Science Degree, recognized by the University, with one of the following subjects viz. Physics, Chemistry, Biology and at least one other prescribed science subject of study up to the ancillary level and having scored not less than an overall aggregate of 50%marks, provided that such candidate shall have passed the earlier qualifying examination (10+2 or an equivalent examination) with the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology
ORCompleted requisite course equivalent to I. Sc. (Biological Group) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English, as main subjects after Certificate Level in Health Sciences from Dhulikhel Medical Institute, Kathmandu University and having a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and not less than 50% of marks in each subject of Physics, Chemistry and, Biology (PCB).

This College has separate hostel accommodation for male and female students. The hostel is within the college campus and it takes only a few minutes to reach the college. The rooms are well designed and suitable for students to stay. The authority offers the hostel at low cost. Students can stay the whole educational year in colleges.
