Ivano Frankivsk National Medical University (IFNMU) started in the year 1945 and has more than 70 years of experience to teach MBBS in Ukraine. It is situated in Galytska 2, 76000 Ivano-Frankivsk, Ukraine and is a leading higher education foundation of the region with a higher accreditation level. The University has begun in 1945 so it has more than 70 years of experience to teach MBBS in Ukraine. The university comprises of 12 hospital and clinics. It is recognized by the medical council of India, the World Health Organization, and many other international organizations.

The institute is providing the best infrastructure for its students and the quality facilities like good and spacious hostels, libraries, modern classrooms, etc. Moreover, the institute is providing a healthy and friendly environment on the campus for its students. The institute has various other activity centers in the campus like gym, separate sports complex, etc. The University believes in the overall development of every student and thus organizes various personality development programs such as Seminars, Debates, Conferences, and Student Exchange programs. Apart from personality development programs, the University organizes various sports and cultural events and also encourages students to partake in these activities.

Around 5000 international students of nearly 40 countries, including the USA, Western Europe, Australia, all areas of Africa and Asia, are studying in IFNMU. The University comprises 5 basic departments (General Medicine, Pediatrics, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Postgraduate), 57 chairs, a medical school, research/science and backing divisions, laboratories, a preparatory department for foreign citizens.

Ivano-Frankivsk National Medical University trained foreign citizens from 1992. In the 2014-2015 academic year, more than 1700 students from 62 countries of the world are studying at the general medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, preparatory, postgraduate, and nursing departments. At that time the University had only 500 students studying at two departments. At present, there are more than 9500 students studying at the following departments: General Medicine, Dentistry, Pediatrics, Pharmacy, Postgraduate, and Preparatory.

At the Ivano-Frankivsk National Medical University, the magistral staff is 443. On the whole, capabilities of the University's professors and teachers are strong enough: among them, there are 74 Doctors of Science (D.Sci.) and more than 324 Candidates of Science (Ph.D.). On its staff the University has 18 academicians including 9 Members and Associate Members of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences of National Progress, 2 Members of the Academy of Sciences of Technological Cybernetics of Ukraine, 2 Members of New-York Academy of Sciences, 6 Honoured figures of science and engineering of Ukraine, 3 Honored Medical Doctors of Ukraine, 3 Honoured worker of education of Ukraine.

Training of scientific/teaching staff is diversified: it is carried on through the clinical orderly service, postgraduate courses, doctorate courses, Master's degree courses, as well as through the system of presenting theses for Science degrees. The University has international relation with the leading clinics, universities and research centers of USA, Germany; Sweden, Switzerland etc. Ukraine as a member of the UNO and UNESCO takes an active part in carrying out of international programs in the sphere of higher education, withing the limits of its economic means it renders assistance to a foreign state in training of national specialists. Library The institute has 3 separate library buildings with about 700,000 copies of different literature, 400 home and foreign journals etc. and about 20,000 new books come into the library.
Sports The institute has both indoor and outdoor sports facilities in the campus like basketball, table tennis, volley ball etc.

  • The institute has 6 hostel buildings in the campus in which they are providing fully furnished rooms (two-seat and three-seat) with a bed, mattress, centrally heated facility, etc with the seating capacity of 4000 students. All floors having a common hall, and a common kitchen for cooking. Supermarkets and grocery shops are only 2 to 3 min away from the hostel. Moreover, the doctors and nurses come in the hostel for the routine check-ups of the students. The cleaning staff keeps the hostel clean to provide a healthy environment for the students. The main hostel is about 2km away from the Dean’s office and the city center but the transport facility is there for the students as the students can cover this distance in buses. Students who want to reside in the hostels have to sign an annual contract and are required to follow the rules of the hostels. The closing timings of hostel gates is 11:00 PM. The cost of the hostel is about 700 to 1000 dollars per annum.

  • University distance from Hostel: - There are only 2-3 mins of walking distance in between the main campus of the university and the hostel.
  • Basic Amenities: - All the rooms are well-furnished and centrally heated with all the necessary amenities like a bed, bed sheets, mattress, study table, etc. Moreover, there is a common study room is there in every hostel. Moreover, plumber, electrician, and carpenter are available.
  • Laundry room info: - Each floor of every hostel is having a common laundry room that can be used by every student on that particular floor.
  • Kitchen info: - Each floor of every hostel is having a common kitchen which can be used by every student of that particular floor. Kitchens are shared with 2-3 electric burners, and a microwave, where students can cook their meals whenever they want to do.
  • Washroom and Toilet info: - There is a common washroom and a common toilet is there for every two rooms.
  • Boy and Girl Division info: - Boys and girls hostels are separate.
  • Security info: - All the hostels are very safe and secure as they have security cameras in every hostel for the students safety. Also, have the security staff to secure every hostel.
  • Indian Mess availability info: - Indian foods are available in the mess for the students and they are providing healthy and nutritious food to every student and staff.
  • Gym info: - The university has a gym in the hostel with modern machines and tools like dumbbells, treadmill, etc.
  • Room occupancy info: - The hostels are available in two and three sharing occupies in rooms. Students can choose one of them based on their needs, requirement, budget, and availability.
