Kyiv Medical University was established in 1992 by Dr. Pokanevich Valerity. It is one of the best and old private universities in Europe imparting MBBS education. The university has trained over 10,000 students who have emerged general practitioners, dentists, and pharmacists. The university offers an MBBS course to both local and as well as for international students. This is the best private institution of higher education with 3,500 people, 500 interns, and 3,000 students of which 35% are foreign students from 62 countries.
The university is recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI), European Council of Medicine, General Medical Council of UK, Ghana Dental and Medical Council, Nigerian Dental and Medical Council, Pakistan Medical and Dental Council. So, International students do not need to take stress over the legality of their degrees. All degrees gave by KMU are legal, and approved by the foreign ministry of Affairs, Ukraine.
It was founded by Valeriy Volodymyrovych Pokanevych, who is the honored Doctor of Ukraine, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor, General Director of the Ukrainian Association of Traditional Medicine, Chief Freelance Specialist of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine in Folk and Alternative Medicine. The university trains specialists in various fields which includes ‘Medicine’- full-time course of 6 years, ‘Dentistry’- full-time course of 5 years, ‘Industrial Pharmacy’- full time and part-time course of 5 and 5.5 years respectively.
The institute is providing the best infrastructure for its students and the quality facilities like good and spacious hostels, libraries, modern classrooms, etc. Moreover, the institute is providing a healthy and friendly environment on the campus for its students. The institute has various other activity centers in the campus like gym, separate sports complex, etc. The University believes in the overall development of every student and thus organizes various personality development programs such as Seminars, Debates, Conferences, and Student Exchange programs. Apart from personality development programs, the University organizes various sports and cultural events and also encourages students to partake in these activities.
In this university almost 500 faculties’ members work on the introduction of the latest educational technologies, improvement of clinical and educational bases, equipping of support departments, improvement of the material and technical base of the University and comfort of students, administration handling. At present 4000 people are graduated from this university and at the university, every fifth teacher is a doctor of sciences and every third student is a candidate of sciences. There are an undergrad and postgraduate academic program, language certification courses, training courses, and significantly more. English is the essential language of instruction at the university. The University promotes the training and practice at the national and worldwide level.
