Volgograd State Medical University was founded in 1935 as a Stalingrad Medical Institute which got a status of the Academy in 1993 and later in 2003 it was granted the status of the University. Volgograd University is an active participant of a number of International projects which promote medical research and clinical practice and this account for a genuine interest in the activities of the University by the government officials of various countries. Recently, the ambassadors of the USA, Malaysia, India, the People’s Republic of China, Brunei, Bangladesh, etc., top officials of the Medical and Dental Councils of different countries visited the University. The university has total of 3 hostels in the university in which the university is providing well-furnished rooms with all the necessary facilities like a bed, mattress, cafeteria, WIFI Internet facility, etc. All the hostels are situated within easy reach from both University buildings and clinics.
