Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv was established in the year 1834 and is one of the biggest medical university in Ukraine teaching MBBS. It is recognized by WHO, MCI, and many more international professional groups. The University has over 400 partner universities, currently maintains relations and, in some cases, student exchange programs with universities of 40 countries a figure which includes a number of former republics of the Soviet Union and other countries which Ukraine traditionally, over the past 70 years prior to independence in 1991, did not have official bilateral relations with.

Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv offers a low-cost MBBS program. The university is preparing doctors for near countries, and far abroad. The University grants Junior Specialists, Bachelor's, Specialist's and Master's degrees, Higher Qualification Post-graduation degrees and Doctoral degrees. Training and re-training programs are given in 14 specialties of Junior Specialist qualification, 55 fields of Bachelor preparing programs, 49 areas of Specialist preparing programs and 98 fields of Master preparing programs. More than 26 thousand MBBS and other students are studying at the University. About 1,645 postgraduate students and 125 Ph.D. students are working for higher qualifications at the University. Nowadays, the University has bilateral partnership agreements with 227 foreign educational and scientific universities from 57 nations. 180 foreign academics and lecturers from 32 countries visit the University every year to work together in research, attending conferences and giving lectures. Each year more than 1500 lecturers, researchers, and students travel abroad to 59 nations. 66% of those take overseas trips in 2013 traveled abroad for academic purposes (conferences, training, and research).

Taras Shevchenko National University retains its role of a major center of learning and research as well as an important cultural center. Its academics and MBBS students follow the long-standing traditions of the highest academic standards and democratic ideals. At present, the student body of Taras Shevchenko University totals about more than 30,000 students, this number includes almost 2,000 students at the Institute of International Relations which is attached to Taras Shevchenko National University.

  • Eligibility criteria: - Candidate must have passed their 10+2(sr. secondary education) with a minimum of 50% (45% for reserved category) marks with PCB (physics, chemistry, and biology) from any recognized board.
  • Admission: - Admission will be on the basis of the marks obtained in the entrance exam (NEET).
  • NEET Cut off (2020): - For General Category: - 147 marks, For reserved category: - 113 marks.

FACILITIES AVAILABILITY
Library The university has its own library in the city Kyiv in which they have 3.5 million books (scientific, educational, reference, methodical, periodical, and other literature in more than 30 languages of the world). Every year the library stock is filled up with 35,000-40,000 volumes.
Sports The institute has both indoor and outdoor sports facilities in the campus like table tennis,basketball, volleyball, swimming etc.
Computer lab The institute has a well-equipped computer lab in the campus with latest computer machines and tools.

The institute provides hostel to international students in which they are providing well-furnished rooms with all the necessary facilities like a bed, mattress, cafeteria, WIFI Internet facility, etc. The university has 3 hostels with a seating capacity of 2000 students at a time.

  • University distance from Hostel: - The hostel is located inside the university campus and the distance between the university and the hostel is not more than 1km.
  • Room occupancy info: - The hostels are available in double, and triple sharing occupancies in rooms. Students can choose one of them based on their needs, requirement, budget, and availability.
  • Basic Amenities: - All the rooms are well-furnished and centrally air-conditioned with all the necessary amenities like a bed, bed sheets, mattress, study table, wardrobes, refrigerator, etc. Moreover, there is a common study room is there in every hostel.
  • Laundry room info: - Each floor of every hostel is having a common laundry room that can be used by every student of that hostel.
  • Kitchen info: - Each floor of every hostel is having a common kitchen which can be used by every student of that particular floor. Kitchens are shared with 2-3 electric burners, and a microwave, where students can cook their meals whenever they want to do.
  • Washroom and Toilet info: - There is an attached washroom and toilet in every two rooms of the hostel.
  • Boy and Girl Division info: - Boys and girls hostels are separate.
  • Security info: - All the hostels are very safe and secure as they have security cameras in every hostel for the student's safety. Security staff is always there for the security of the students.
  • Indian Mess availability info: - Indian mess is not available in the hostel but there is a common kitchen in every floor of each hostel so that student can cook their food whenever and whatever they want.
